As we get older we tend to build more bigger relationships, friends, family, co-workers, etc. But are all relationships healthy? How does one know if theirs is healthy? Truth is we must figure it out and notice if it is because even those relationships closest to us could be unhealthy. As much as we don’t want it to be, it could be a possibility.
In past posts, I have mentioned the awakening, essence of health, state of mind, and more. When all of these are build upon us, we start to notice the importance of having healthy relationships. Relationships that make us better people, have positive effects on our lives and just motivate us to keep going.
Having those relationships in our lives will not only keep us going but make us a better person overall. I will show you what are some benefits that I have discovered from having healthy relationships.
More Open Minded
One thing that I have noticed with just having healthier relationships is that I tend to become more open minded. The reason for that is because I am able to communicate and say whatever I feel knowing the person I say it to will not judge or argue back with anything. Instead I am able to have good conversations even if we don’t agree with each other. For example, politics, we tend to be so negative as if we are trying to beat the other person with our views but it can’t be like that. We must find common ground and just be able to talk about what we believe and why we believe it.
While being able to say the beliefs of our own, and being able to listen to other peoples beliefs we start to build those healthy relationship. This leads to being more open minded because one becomes aware that we all have different thoughts and beliefs.
More Confident
The healthier relationships we have the more confidence that comes within you. Think about it for a second, when one has healthy relationships that instead of bringing you down they want you to do better and go for whatever you dream of, you build this confidence because others start believing and seeing it in you as well.
The more positive the relationship the more we realize that the type of people we have around us truly does matter. If we just have people that don’t want us to do better, that say we aren’t capable of anything, we won’t be capable of anything and our confidence shrinks. On the other hand, if we have people that motivate us and always have something positive to say then we start to trust and feel more confident about ourselves.
More Positive
Not only does having good relationship benefit us with more confidence but the positivity that comes with it is a given.
All of a sudden we start to notice our positive thoughts in our mind, we focus less on what is around us and just start seeing the good in everything.
Having those positive relationships will bring out a person in you that never thought would come out.
More Aware
Becoming more aware of your surroundings and paying attention of the people you want to hang around with is a sign of healthy relationships building up.
Since you are gaining those relationships you start to realize that’s all you will want out of life, and with that you become more aware of who to have in your life and who not to.
More Motivation To Do More
When we finally gain the relationships that we deserve and realize the positive is what will get us far, then that’s when we get motivation to do more and be more. We want to do better for those around us, and they will also want you to do better for yourself. That is why it is so important to have healthy relationships throughout your life, that’s what will give you the key to what life is all about.
