Why is it that although we are aware of the benefits of a healthy life, many of us ignore it? We all have choices, just because someone told you that being healthy is boring or not worth it, doesn’t mean you have to listen. If you know and are aware of the benefits of being healthy, why not do it? Yes it will be tough and at times we wonder if it is even worth it, but let me tell you, would you rather suffer being unhealthy and unhappy with yourself or would you rather suffer being healthy and happy with yourself.
Regardless we will suffer when making these choices. We suffer from eating bad, and we suffer from trying to stay healthy by eating better and working out. It is all part of the game, but I ask what type of suffering do you want in this life?
Healthy Life
When we have a healthy life, there is more meaning added to it. The lessons we learn out of working out, eating proper, showing up consistently will bring a life full of opportunities. As we become healthier, we start seeing how much discipline and dedication it actually takes. Not only that but we also learn to be patient, because becoming healthy doesn’t just happen overnight. We must stay consistent with the process and eventually we will see all the results from the hard work and discipline put into it.
There is much to be taught and learned through living a healthier life. Not only do these lessons bring us happiness but it also makes life more meaningful. Many of us want meaning in our life, we do it through finding a career, taking good care of our children, supporting certain sports teams and more. Being healthy and taking care of our body will not only bring meaning in ones life but it will also make us feel more at peace.
Passion
Once our life becomes healthier, we are also on the verge to seeing reality more clear. We can then start to connect things and see what we are truly passionate about.
With more clarity we start noticing what we really want out of life. Whether it is to be the best mother, father, employee, business man, etc. We start to truly believe and think about our goals and how possible it is to achieve it.
Again we started with learning how to stay discipline by being healthier and all these components can be implemented to many areas of our lives.
Meaning
Once our passions and reason for living have been found, we start to find more meaning in several areas of our lives. We start treated others with compassion and kindness, we start wanting to provide more or be better for our family and close friends. We start to see the meaning of what life is truly about, if there wasn’t any titles, jobs, luxury cars, clothes, watches, and the biggest one of them all status. If none of that was put into our mind, we would see that all that truly matters is our mind, soul and body, and how that can be interpreted into the “real world”.
We will start noticing changes in the way we treat others and realize the meaning of all this so called life was never status, it is about becoming the best version of ourselves in order to help and guide those around us find their own peace and meaning of life.
We won’t all have the same perspective and meaning, but we can all be similar and reach that point of our lives if we help one another instead of just judging and putting each other down.
Reality
The reality of all of this is that one cannot do this and except results within a week or two. It is a process that is worth chasing after. There will be days when you question it, but at the end we need to keep our goals high and be better for the people around us. We as humans need to start becoming more aware of all of this and realize that the reality of all this was always in front of us. A brother, sister, uncle, aunt, mom, dad, cousin, the human connection will always be the most rewarding and meaningful thing out of our lives.
Truth is, at the end of the day we will never take anything to our grave. The money, status, title that everyone chases after is meaningless when you’re going, but the mark that you leave on others, the time spend wisely every given moment with family. All those memories is what stays with someone after death. Most importantly, the soul of a human. When our soul is pure, we die in peace. But when it is full of regret and hate, then that will always haunt us.
So I ask you again, why not be the best version of yourself in a world that is limited because at the end of the day, we never know when our final day will be.
